Quartz stone main material

The main material of quartz stone is base on two parts, resin and quartz sand. The weight of a 20-thick quartz stone slab with a conventional color is usually 46kg/sqm, while the feeding weight of raw materials is approximately 70kg. Among them, the weight of quartz sand needs 65kg, which means that the content of quartz stone is usually around 93%, while other components are resin and color paste.

Material feeding and layout

After fully mixing all raw materials into the mixing tank through the automatic batching system,the weight of the raw materials will be rechecked based on the above weight,and after confirmation,they will be evenly distributed in the mold.

Die-casting molding

Then,the air in the raw materials is fully squeezed out by a large gravity press,making the raw materials in the mold in a porous and dense state,which can better adhere to the resin. It is also an important step for slabs to pass quality inspection standards such as hardness and thickness after production.

Baking and cooling

After heavily pressing,the quartz stone slabs are still not fully utilized their energy efficiency,so the next step is also a crucial step - constant temperature baking which can fully utilize the performance of the resin,so that each sand is tightly and firmly adhered together under the action of the resin. Each slab is baked for about 4 hours,and then the temperature inside the oven is lowered to slowly return to normal temperature which has the advantage of ensuring the hardness and toughness of the slab in future use,without being as fragile as marble. Usually,this process takes 24 hours or even longer.

Grinding and polishing

After the chemical reaction is fully completed,the slabs also enter the process of trimming,polishing,and polishing. We are equipped with 18-head (for small slabs) and 24-head (for big slabs) fully auto grinding and polishing lines. When they through a conveyor belt and has completed all the processes,the brightness is about 60°,and some colors can reach over 82°. The better the polishing degree of the surface of the slabs,the better their anti fouling ability in future daily use.
